Returns Policy
- Returns MUST be initiated within 7 days (24 hours for Story books and Novels) after being in receipt of the order. Afterwards the request will NOT be eligible.
- Returned items due to an error on the customer's part should be unused and must be returned in original packaging with any enclosed documentation. We will issue a store credit; alternatively, we will exchange the item.
- Returned IT category items MUST be verified to be in sellable condition before a refund is initiated. Printers with toners or ink already inserted are NOT eligible for a refund unless confirmed by warranty service center to be faulty.
- Laptops, computers and printers should be supplied with an official seal unless informed prior to delivery by JD Classic Bookshop staff. For prior testing/checking/setup, you MUST initiate your request via email.
- The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. We recommend using an insured delivery service or dropping off at your nearest branch.
- The cost of returning the item is your responsibility.
- Issuance of credit notes is ONLY ONCE per order for all returns/exchanges.
Refunds Policy
You're eligible for a refund within 48 working hours if you're dissatisfied with your purchase either due to an error on our part or if the product doesn't arrive.
1. Incorrect Product / Not As Described / Damaged
You are eligible for a full refund of the purchase price, including original shipping costs, only if the return results from our error. The item must be returned within 7 days (24 hours for books) of the estimated delivery date and in the same condition it was received.
2. Product Did Not Arrive
You are eligible for a full refund, including shipping, if your product hasn't arrived 30 days past the estimated delivery date without prior notice. If tracking shows delivery, the return is void.
If the product is returned due to reasons such as incomplete address, unclaimed, or returned to sender, the refund includes only the product price.
3. Other Terms & Conditions
- No refunds on items damaged during shipping; file a claim with the courier.
- Credit card refunds incur a KShs 100 processing fee.
- Shipping costs, MPesa or credit card fees are not refunded.
- Cash on delivery is not supported; payments must be made in advance.
- For any refund, transaction fees incurred by JD Classic Bookshop will be deducted.
- The client must respond to communication to facilitate delivery; otherwise, the item will be delivered to the nearest JD Classic Bookshop branch.
- International clients must contact JD Classic Bookshop before making an order for shipping estimates.
- EMS may not offer door-to-door delivery; the client may need to collect from the nearest Posta office.
